[Breeding guide? Check. New Pokémon? Also check. Owen isn't freaking out much, mostly because he gets to follow around a rock. How awesome is that? Unfortunately, his Roggenrola decided it wanted to walk into one of the random houses. Literally. His starter walked into a house, leaving behind a small hole and a confused trainer behind.

Well. This is new. Time to use the phone.]

Yo! People can hear me on this thing, right? I kind of just showed up here. I don't really know how.

[Awkward. He rubs the back of his neck.]

It's great to meet all of you, but does anyone know what these little rock guys eat? [He turns the gear, pointing it at the hole in the house's wall. It's not deep enough to go into the house, meaning there's a little critter roaming around inside the wall.] I think it's called a Roggenrola. He's pretty great, but he hasn't come out yet! I was thinking about trying to lure him out with some food. So, anyone got any ideas?

[Anyone in New Bark Town will be able to find a large man crouching next to a house. He'll try the trail mix and mom's lunch, placing them in front of the hole...but nothing seems to be working. Stop and help out the confused oaf?]

[Spying the guy from across the way, he... seems to be trying to lure something? Hopefully it's something cute, she hasn't tried to see what she got yet when she got a whiff of the stink it made before hiding, but... well. She's not too inclined to find it just yet; it's around. Following.

ANYWAY. Approaching, she crouches down beside him and peers into the hole.] Did you lose your pet in there?

[Owen stops what he's doing to look over his shoulder. Oh, hey pink haired girl. He offers a smile and rubs the back of his neck again. This is all so weird, and he's kind of on edge because of it.]

Yeah. He just walked right through the wall. Pretty intense, huh? He hasn't come back out yet.

[Hmm. Something does smell bad.]

Walked through the wall? [Well. Explains the hole.] I hope he didn't get stuck! [And they can't get back into "Mom's" house with how she locks the door. Humming quietly in thought, she crouches a little lower and tries to reach in.]

What kind is he?

Haha, that's exactly what happened! I don't think he's stuck, though...if he was stuck, he could break the wall right back out, right?

[He laughs! Because this is still kind of funny. He's not nearly as worried as Cheria seems to be.]

He's a Rock and Roller. I only heard his name once before he wandered off. Guess I need to be more careful from now on, huh?

I guess so! A Rock and Roller? It sounds a little like "Rockgagong" but those are enormous creatures, so it can't be something like that... [Gonna stick her arm in further, patting about. There's some shuffling of plastic on grass behind him that makes her jerk though, nervously looking back behind her.

I-I'm not really sure, I've only seen those rock ones a couple of times..

Maybe they eat rocks? That makes sense, right? It'll make them bigger, or something.

Rocks that eat smaller rocks...that sounds like it might work!

[So he stands!]

I'll have to find some good rocks. That can't be too hard!

Haha! Hey, that's not a bad idea. Think they've got any around here?

Hmm...I don't think that'll work, then. I can't just leave the guy alone for a few days, right? That'd make me a bad parent.

[Not freaking out yet, nope.]

I figured that out as soon as the rocks started moving. Then, there's that person who thinks she's my mom...I've never seen anything like this place.

This little machine called him a Rock and Roller. Have you seen one before?

It went well- turns out the seeds I found were unnecessary, but the farm is safe, and that's what matters!

[But, that's a whole journey behind, and there's a Current Predicament to mind!]

I'm afraid not, but then there's hundreds of little guys like that- well, more likely dozens, specifically of rock, but still! All Pokémon seem fond of certain food.

I've never really thought about what Rock-types would eat... Something salty, maybe.

[Hmmmn... He should probably have learned that, by now.]

You know, you don't seem all that bothered to be in a different world.

Haha! It's a little strange, but meeting a rock that could move is really neat, don't you think?

[He just laughs it off.]

So something salty, eh? I tried the trail mix earlier, but maybe there isn't enough.

[He had been way more unnerved than this, even if he spent his first day mostly being sarcastic.]

I'm not real positive that that's what they would eat, since Urd is the closest and she's only half-Rock. A lot of my pokemon eat fish, grains, or regular old kibble.

Woah. There are some that are only half-rock? What does that even look like? Like a turtle maybe...?

I'll have to give it a try! There's gotta be something salty around here.

Seems like I've asked a really strange question! No one really seems to know.

Though now that I think about it, I don't think this little guy even had a mouth. He just had a big eye. [And even that's just an ear.]

Hmm...I think he's kind of cute, actually. There's a lot you can learn about rocks!
